Why a custom plan may work for you

Designing this home was a bit tricky, and this is why having a custom designed home may be in your best interest. This client knew what they wanted their house to look and feel like and knew exactly where they wanted to build it. Everything seemed great until a closer look at their subdivisions covenants revealed a very limited height restriction. So a marriage between a French Country Style home (especially the steep roof lines) and a subdivision designed to help maintain great vistas proved to be quite the challenge. However I think you may agree that the end result satisfies the clients taste for French Country and the restrictions placed upon him by the codes covenants of the subdivision. So if you are having a difficult time connecting two necessities while contemplating your next home, contact a plan designer or architect to help you out. Control4 meets Android

So it may be no secret that I am huge Control4 fan, I am also an avid android user. I have been waiting for the android app for some time and it is finally here. I am not saying I checked the Control4 website daily or even monthly, so I am not quite sure when it came available, but the good news is – it is here now. Check it out. If you are not familiar with Control4 spend some time on their website you just may be impressed.
It also looks like they have included their own security items as well, I noticed the Front door intercom and camera. If you are building a new home look to integrate some aspect or all of the Control4 system into your new home. You won’t regret it.

Where an idea begins

So,… as I was sleeping one night I had this very real dream, you know the ones where every detail is vivid and beautiful. The dream itself was rather weird and interesting but the location and specifically the structure where the madness took place was the thing that was the most clear and simple to me especially when I woke up and when I was able to recall the details of the dream days later. So I sat down grabbed a pen and drew up a short and condensed version of my dream, that became the “Lean To and Fro” house plan. I thought that I would include the beginning floor layout sketch that I began with that came from my dream. The simpleness of concrete walls, glass walls and barriers, the use of metal indoor and out, clean lines, open spaces, simple cabinets and casement work, bamboo wood floors throughout, bright white walls with lots of light, bright color accents and warm conversation. Well I added that last part because the company and conversation in my dream was not warm and friendly so I substituted that for a more appealing idea. You love it by it now here!
